Barack Obama- a Radical Muslim

Obama's religion and motivations have often been called into question during the 2008 presidential elections. There has been talk of Barack Obama intentionally hiding the fact that he is, in actuality, a radical Muslim.

This untruth seems to have been spurred by an article Insight Magazine posted on its website that alleges that "In Indonesia, the young Obama was enrolled in a Madrassa and was raised and educated as a Muslim. Although Indonesia is regarded as a moderate Muslim state, the U.S. intelligence community has determined that today most of these schools are financed by the Saudi Arabian government and they teach a Wahhabi doctrine that denies the rights of non-Muslims" (Insight Magazine's article "Hillary's team has questions about Obama's Muslim background")

The faulty information reported in this article has since been perpetuated through various emails that generally read as follows:

mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia . Obama
attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta . He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also
attended Catholic school." Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that that he is not a radical.

Ob ama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned
to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school
in Jakarta. Wahabism is the RADICAL ISLAMIC teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States , Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

FACT
The vast majority of this information has been proven false by the article "CNN Debunks False Report About Obama" found at CNN's website. A CNN reporter visited the "Muslim school" in question and found no evidence of radicalism.

The information found in the email "Who Is Barack Obama?" has also been debunked by an article on Snopes.com, which provides statements issued by reputable sources like CNN, The Associated Press, Obama's campaign, and the Chicago Sun-Times that all unanimously maintain that all evidence to suggest that Obama is a radical Muslim in disguise is entirely false.

It's amazing that the far-fetched allegations of an internet news article was not only perpetuated as fact by mainstream, reputable news sources but that in 2008, it is so widespread that people still subscribe to the opinion that Obama is secretly a radical Muslim based on a "news article" published Jan 16, 2007.
